Few wks back, an expat friend asked me 'Why Singaporean can job-hop for a pathetic meagre amount of SGD200?'. So i answered her 'Dear, if your salary is USD20000/mth, of course it's not a lot of money. But if you salary is SGD2000/mth, that's quite a sum of money!'.

In Singapore, apart from those elites that work for GLCs and real big MNCs, most likely you will be overworked and underpaid. I can't say this for all ppl but at least for myself, a guy without a degree. I remembered i went for this very interview at a huge accounting company for a post of support technician. The job scope of supporting more than 1000 staff. When i said i wanted a salary of SGD2000/mth (with 4+ yrs of relevant working experience), the interviewer was in a shock and immediately asked this favourite question 'How much lower can you go?'. Not sounding haughty, i told him i'm not interested in this job at all judging from the scale of work and salary.

Maybe the Gahment ppl never realised that there are certain job that Singaporean can't do. Those job that are very lowly paid and long uncertain hours. Yes i agree that it's better to have a job than not. But in the end, u must realise that you may sacrifice all your time and life to work for real peanuts pay (not some SGD600000/yr, my dear). Don't we all have families, friends and a life??? The job i mentioned would have taken all these away from me if i ever lower that already paltry salary request and take on the job (god bless, i didn't). That job is more suitable for ppl from our neighbouring countries and i'm sure they will laugh their back off if that company offers them SGD1200/mth. They will be rich back home when they decide to call it a day and go home. Isn't that true???

Lucky and thank god that i have a very good job now. This is just a recall of incidents after my expat friend asked me that question. Did you face the same prob as me? Let's hope not.

What the fuck is this!

Just a gentle reminder, oil prices fall below US$80. It's almost half the amount estimated by our great financial guru from SP Services. We shall c how man! Anyway, prices climb up will b hard to come down. All of us understand that no company operates on altruistic causes but it is ridiculous to make such a raise at this very point of time. In any case, please! peasants! wake up from your ideas can?! Who is going to take care of you in crisis times? Who ask u to b poor? You can always b born into families tat take $600000 as peanuts. Just too bad your bad kharma lah...haizz...

This economic crisis is going to b much worse than the one b4. Then a lot of things were more affordable then compared to now. Now, with all these ridiculous price raised and crazy help from the gahment. Do not F@#k around anymore, please! Can save, better save now! Cause you never know, in crisis times, private companies like Singtel, SP services & SMRT etc etc may compete to raise prices in order to keep their businesses operable. Some more now is so far away from election, how can gahment help?? Private companies leh. How?

Remember peasants, carrots don't dangle in front of you anytime you like you know. Aiya...anyway since peasants r non-elites, so we just presume we r stupid and 4getful. By election time, every1 is so positive about our great nation/party/gahment again. If this blog is still arnd till the next 1, i will do my best to remind all of us, the peasants. Anyway will we b able to last through this coming crisis, still too early to tell.

Really hate myself, why i can't b 1 of those elite financial gurus in the private companies...

Does not pay to b nice!

It's really an art to learn how to appreciate another person in this world. I was so freaking mad today. Due to my partial mistake, i made a loss of $1k+ in some kind of trading stuff. The other person involved and responsible offered to pay me back the difference. I refused and i told the person we r in a team so we shld shoulder tis together. In the end, tis person tot i was untruthful and may b having some kind of agenda. Sounds cool huh...

What the fuck is tis man!!! Not tat i'm fucking rich n noble person. Tink wat, 1k+ not $ ah? I'm not fucking trying to act cool or wat. Wah lan eh, stil tink i've ulterior motive. I fuck it understand. Just 1 simple sentence, tat's me! It's either u fucking take it or fucking leave it. Not as if i give a fucking damn!

So much to say...

I really don't fucking understand what the fuck is the kind of fucking company that provides electricity for a country, best still without competition, raise the fucking charges for fuck! Bloody fucking hell...can someone out there enlighten or give me a lesson on that. How the fuck they compute that???

Funny...really funny...oil prices top US$155 today? No leh...go arnd the whole bloody fucking internet and check all say less than US$100. Mayb is the fucking virus tat is attacking my comp lah. ohh...in 3 mths time lah...then dun fucking b the chair person 4 tis fucking company lah, go b some big financial analysts in the wall street, have save the world's fucking waning economy. So fucking gd in their predictions.

The rich/up-status/expats ppl in this country will have no worries, man! Just tat couple of peanut dollars. But cant the watever council/board (for price control ah? they exist, i tink so) just use some portion of their dog-fucking sense and spare a thought for the poor peasants. It's really a fucking kharma tat some1 is born as lowly peasants. Anyway, it's a fucking culture in this organization that peasants have no chance to decide whether things change or not. However, at least we will be informed lah, at least. Then mayb a few fucking interviews/articles to listen to the peasants howl...then next, another set of elites wil come out say 'look peasants, we hv tried to stop this inevitable hike but we will do our utmost best to cushion it, k!'. That's the best they can do i guess.

Fuck that 21%, fuck those crackpots and please, god-sake, fuck off frm my fucking non-elite uncaring face...mother-fuckers!
